Bion qualifies under California's new rule
re Emissions Reductions from Livestock

February 1, 2005. New York, New York.

Bion has received a letter from California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) stating that Bion's NMS microaerobic animal waste treatment process qualifies under the new Rule 1127 dealing with Emissions Reductions From Livestock Waste.

California has a greater concentration of dairy cows than any other place in the world, and SCAQMD is widely recognized as the most rigorous air management district in the world. Therefore it is notable that, after review of Bion's peer reviewed data and additional requested data, SCAQMD states that Bion’s process "demonstrates significant reductions from anaerobic manure storage lagoons" and “VOC and ammonia emissions are significantly less than one pound per cow per year.”
