Bion Announces St. Lawrence County Committee Vote Regarding Proposed Integrated Project in Upstate New York

November 20, 2007. New York, New York.

Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: BNET) announced today that on Monday, November 19, 2007, the Services Committee of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators voted, by a 12- 2 margin, to forward a resolution to the full Board regarding Bion's proposed Integrated Project in St. Lawrence County, New York and to create a "...Task Force to work directly with Bion in support of successful implementation of the proposed Project..." ('Resolution'). The Board of Legislators will vote on the Resolution on Monday, December 3, 2007. All 15 Legislators are members of the Services Committee with the 14 Legislators present voting on the Resolution.

The Resolution (as currently drafted) reads (in part):

"The Task Force shall be charged to work directly with Bion in support of successful implementation of the proposed project through activities that include:

Mr. Jeff Kapell, Bion's Vice President - Renewables and Project Development, stated after the meeting, "the action taken tonight endorses establishing a county wide task force of community leadership to work with Bion to successfully develop the Company's proposed integrated ethanol / beef cattle project in St. Lawrence County." Mr. Kapell added, "the positive vote of 12 to 2 provides a very strong indication that the economic benefits of the Project are valued in St. Lawrence County based upon the Project meeting all regulatory requirements and voluntarily conforming to the standards of the recently released odor study," and concluded, "It is clearly the hope of the 12 Legislators who voted for the resolution that Bion can successfully develop its integrated ag project in St. Lawrence County."

Bion's Integrated Project, if constructed as currently planned, will consist of 84,000 beef cattle in six 14,000 head modules, with Bion waste treatment/renewable energy production facilities, integrated with a 40 million gallon per year ethanol plant.

Upon receiving the formal endorsement of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators, Bion will work with the Task Force appointed by the Board and will proceed to negotiate its infrastructure and transportation agreements related to the importation of corn from the Midwest. In addition, Bion will seek to option appropriate sites for all aspects of the Project and work with local, state and federal area representatives to secure the appropriate financial and other support necessary for the Project.

About Bion: Bion's patented technology platform largely mitigates the environmental impacts of livestock facilities, such as dairies and cattle feedlots, and significantly reduces the acreage required per animal. The technology enables a substantial increase in scale, resulting in economic advantages and increased profitability through improved resource and operational efficiencies.

Bion's technology creates the opportunity to develop sustainable integrated agriculture operations, comprised of large scale livestock operations balanced with highly-efficient biofuel production, in locations that maximize market opportunities. These state-of-the-art facilities incorporate onsite production and use of co-products - renewable energy produced from the livestock wastes and the distiller grains from the ethanol process - and produce significant advantages in environmental, energy and economic efficiency.
